Galerie de Riekhoff

Galerie de Riekhoff can be found in the village of Een-West. Here you can rummage among antiques and curiosa. You can buy the prettiest home and garden decorations, plus there's a pleasant coffee and tea garden.

Paiser Meul

Delicious nut cake can be purchased at Paiser Meul, or Peizer Mill, in Peize, one of many medieval hamlets. The shop in this handsome 19th-century mill also sells bread, (plain) flour and regional products. A 'make your own pizza and pasta' workshop is among the possibilities!

Kunstpaviljoen

The Kunstpaviljoen is a museum near Nieuw-Roden, where you can enjoy unique modern art. It has variable exhibitions and permanent collections. Not only the works of art, the architecture and interior of the Kunstpaviljoen are a feast for the eye: everything is in harmony. And there are ample views across the countryside that surrounds this magnificent brick museum.

Albert Geertjes

The exceptional studio of artist and furniture maker Albert Geertjes can be found in Eelderwolde. It is full of the most extraordinary objects, from furniture to lamps. Artistic, fairy-like... Customised purchases are often an option. Geertjes welds his and your ideas into something wonderful.

Outsider Art House

Very particular art, so-called outsider art, can be found at Outsider Art House. Wander inside and admire the fascinating mosaic tree in the centre of the building. You can enjoy variable exhibitions of visual art, and a cup of tea or coffee outside on the terrace.
